No Looking Back je součástí série Idea ženy. Rozhodnutí již bylo učiněno - malba začíná až poté. Postava stojí roztříštěná napříč barevnými poli, její tělo je rozbité do rovin, které už nejsou v souladu. Vpravo je sklenice a svíčky: zbytky čehosi. Ona se k nim nestaví čelem. Kompozice se neptá, kam jde. Jednoduše označuje okamžik, kdy otočení se zpět přestalo být možností.
O autorovi
Denys Chumachenko is a painter based in Spain.
His work moves between abstraction and the figure — bodies that don't fully resolve, forms assembled from gesture, color, and spatial tension rather than narrative.
Over ten years of practice, he has developed a visual language where the figure becomes a field of internal states: present but unstable, recognizable but not fixed.
Working primarily in oil and acrylic on wood, he builds surfaces that carry weight through color and gesture rather than illustration.
His works are held in private collections across Europe and have been shown in group exhibitions in Spain, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
